When I say Saturday, I guess I really mean late-Saturday-night-and-even-maybe-Sunday. My apologies. We had soccer games and pictures all morning, a visiting-from-out-of-town grandma much of the day, and a not very successful trip to do our shopping. The kind of trip where I realize that organizing 23 children who are in my class is much simpler than organizing 3 children who are mine! Enough of that, though. This week, we began our small group learning time with our helpers Mrs. Schall and Miss Martin. We met many letters this week, from F to N! We practiced writing many of them during small group time. We read several new books, featuring our new letters, and our "sight" words, I and am. In math, we worked printing the numerals 1, 2, and 3, and worked on counting to 4 and 5, and building a sense of "how many" those numbers are. The weather proved a bit unpredictable this week, but we were lucky to get out for all of our during the day recesses. Our playground gets very chilly/windy, so jackets/heavy sweatshirts are a great plan, especially for the mornings. Last, but not least...I did not take many photos this week, but I tried to snap a few during recess.
I will update with more photos again tomorrow!Mrs. Adkins
